Polypro Polypropylene Tubing

Polypropylene Tubing

Polypropylene tubing offered by SPS is made of virgin polypropylene copolymer, meeting FDA requirements for food contact surfaces and is extremely lightweight, thermoformable, and weldable. It also has very low moisture absorption and high dielectric strength which results in excellent dimensional stability and electrical properties. All polypropylene tubing from SPS is naturally white in color but can be easily colored.

Our POLYPRO polypropylene tubing is a high-crystalline, random copolymer polypropylene, good for use in structural systems. It is semi-rigid with limited ability to bend and is often used in the food processing industry for clean applications.Since it is weldable, POLYPRO may be joined directly, although it is typically joined by means of a push-to-connect fitting. Also, POLYPRO polypropylene tubing may be applied as a reasonably priced alternative to PTFE tubing in many applications.

The combination of polypropylene’s properties make it desirable for a broad mix of applications as it is the lightest of all thermoplastic available today, and, like polyethylene, it floats. It offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, low surface friction and excellent resistance to corrosion.

Common uses include semiconductor manufacturing, potable water systems, environmental, monitoring, dispensing equipment, food & beverage lines, compressed air lines, instrumentation, refrigeration, housewares & appliances, electric equipment and more!
